So these photos were taken by my good friend Gene Pease (Genoh Photography) a few months back, and I just had to share them. I also wanted to share this look because it was these amber colored skinny jeans that first sparked my love for colored pants. At first I was totally freaked out by the idea of wearing COLORED pants, so I decided to go with more of a low-key color. Once I bought this pair, there was no going back. I now own multiple colors including bubblegum pink, cherry red, deep turquoise, royal blue, tiffany blue, eggplant... You get the idea.... I just can't get enough of them! So glad that I busted out of my comfort zone of dark wash denim!
I actually bought these skinnies back in the Spring, but they're the perfect hue for fall. Paired here with a navy blue polka dot blouse, heels, a classic nautical bag, and you've got a great look. Add a cardigan or a leather jacket & flats, and you've perfectly transitioned into Fall!
If you're feeling a bit like I did when I first decided to take the leap into the world of color, try going with something that you're a bit more comortable with. There's so many great colors out there this Fall, that aren't in-your-face bright. Try a warm mustard yellow, a soft olive green, or even a deep eggplant. My tip? When wearing a color on the bottom, try to opt for a more neutral top. But don't stray away from fun patterned tops, like stripes or polka dots! A great jacket and/or scarf can only make the look more fab!
Also, if you're on the hunt for a pair, try out Old Navy's Rockstar skinnies. I'm in love with them not only because of the great price point, but because of the huge variety of colors. I want one of each!
