A few months ago, we decided to sort of spontaneously join my family on a 10 day vacation to the beach-- And I'm so glad that we did! We hadn't had a vacation since before I got pregnant with Mason so it was definitely long overdue and SO refreshing. I actually didn't realize how worn out I really was until I took the time to slow down. I think it took me 3 days into the trip to actually start to feel relaxed.
I've found that it's so easy for me to get caught up in all of the day to day responsibilities of life (being a full time wife, mom, employee, etc.) that I can get completely lost in the to-do's and forget about taking the time to step back and just enjoy life and those around me. I realized on this trip how important it really is to take time to get away, seek God, reflect, set goals, and gain inspiration. Purposing to invest in spending quality time with family is so important. You can't put a price on those moments and the memories made. I'm so thankful for the memories that we made this past week and for the time we were able to spend with each other!
Also, our son is now 14 months old and we still hadn't taken any family pictures together. Luckily, my sister's awesome boyfriend (who is also an awesome photographer) happened to be with us on vacation and took these beautiful photos! Thanks Perry!
Hope you all had a happy Easter and are enjoying this beautiful Spring!
